>>2005055Love this film. Good stuff. Good example of male bonding and the chaotic evil of modernized bureaucracy.
I haven't thought much about this, but the film might also act as an analogy for character change and perception of trauma over the course of a life time. The film "Three Women" being the best known example of such a narrative device.
Yet I might just have forgotten my meds.
Other films?
>Dreams (1990) Akira KurosawaAbout man's relationship with the natural world. Underrated if you ask me.
>Altered States (1980) Ken RussellA little off topic, but I feel like the cohort on this board will find some interest in the films thesis.
>Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner (2001) Zacharias KunukJust watch it, fucking classic.
>Papillon (1973) Franklin Schaffner Man's never ending drive for self autonomy and the futility of life.
>the journals of knud rasmussen (2006) Norman Cohn, Zacharias KunukSequel to fast runner apparently, didn't know that tell I looked it up.
>El Topo (1970) Alejandro JodorowskyGun slinger embarks on a spiritual journey.
Also if you haven't seen stalker I would add it to the top of the list, but I am just going to assume all have seen it.
