When we moved into this house in 2011, this backyard was practically empty except for the area where the observatory stands. That was a big fan Circle the previous owner replaced to have an outdoor inflated pool. I built a half octagonal ring of raised garden bed around it after digging in my rhubarb on the left near the fence took me 3 hours with all the rock and soil here.
On the very left is a columnar Apple that I had to replace his previous one died. Up the fence line is rhubarb raspberry and espalier Apple and then hops in the very far end bed
Or in that back corner is a for variety pear tree that is grafted, and then there are blueberry bushes a gooseberry plant and red currants in behind the observatory in behind the paved concrete area
Right of that is a plum tree, by the woodpile on the right is a Montmorency cherry tree as I love sour cooking cherries, a gift of a thornless blackberry bush which produces decent berries would frequently get damaged by the birds and rendered inedible. In the little cubby hole between the fence the house and the property boundary, is a peach tree that's nestled in there buy a warm spot in the house. Last year I only got one peach off of it in 2019 I got 11, but in 2018 I got 30 peaches off of it. Not sure what's going on with that damn Peachtree. I think it has to do when the Bloom's come out and if there's any pollinating insects around or not.
