>>2008805actually i spend a lot of time offroad in moab, UT, where the OP pic was taken. and the roads are usually maintained by BLM or forest service. there are offroaders who drive off the designated trail and damage the area. But most of us call out people like that and try our best to preserve the environment.
arent there hikers who mess up the environment? dont bushcrafters do this when they rip branches down to build shelters?
Why do you think you are a smart person for using the word indelible? And the tires marks on the slickrock are just rubber that comes off with erosion like normal. it remains on the trail.
If you want me to bitch and moan about offroaders, i can moan about side by side drivers who rent side by sides and fuck things up and get trails closed so WE cant enjoy it, there are people who dont know how to use a winch and rip down aspen trees, there are people who drive like dumbasses and start leaking fluid on trail. But these people (except side by sides) are few and far between, and everytime ive seen it happen all of us have told them to clean their fluid up (shoveling the dirt into a trashbag) or stop them from using their winch in an irresponsible way, and well use it for them.
tell me pic related is not damage by hikers. and then explain, since it is damage by hikers, why all 4x4 drivers are responsible for the dickheads that we share trails with, but hikers and bikers arent?
