I don't know if this completely counts, but here is my blog post.
I grew up in a log cabin with a brick fireplace and a wood furnace in the cellar that heated the house during winter. Now I live in a modern house in a rather bland suburb. Just moved in although the house is basically empty I decided fuckit, I want a cozy fireplace.
It cost as much as a TV but since I don't want a TV I'll enjoy this more. It's electric, artificial, can run with or without heat, but the light and licking flames are very comfy. And with all the lights off it illuminates the living room in a nice flickering orange glow.
Come winter I'll be camping out again in the local national parks which are all new to me as I just moved to this region, but in the meantime this is my little slice of /out/.
Also the house has a lemon tree and I enjoy my lemons, and the possums and flying foxes it attracts.
This concludes my blogorino
