Considering the price of a shemagh, you can't really go wrong. If it's shit, then use it for what it's worth, and then replace it. Don't buy anything above $10, it's just a piece of cloth, it doesn't have to cost that much to be of good quality.
Best way to judge their quality is to see and touch them though, you can hardly judge based on pics on the internet.
I got my latest one on ASMC for 3€, they're of good quality, with a tightly woven base and patterns made of thick thread. Based on how I've used it until now, it's definitely durable.
>>200989Actually the white/black keffieh became a Palestinian symbol during the 36-39 rebellion against British occupation, as rebels would wear them to conceal their faces, and called the entire population to wear them aswell to confuse the British. Yasser Arafat later wore one. It isn't antisemitic, more like a symbol of Palestinian patriotism.
The white/red one was adopted by the Hamas, and yeah we can consider it to be anti-Israel, though hardly antisemitic. It's also a symbol that denotes a proximity with the lower class in Eastern Europe.
After those events, the British army adopted the keffieh, and declined it in the many colors that now exist, and sold it under the name "shemagh", despite the shemagh traditionally being red and black. If anything, keffiehs are an anti-Palestinian symbol.
But prior to all that, all semites wore those scarves, bearing different names and with different colors, depending on the different regions, cultures and clans. It's a piece of cloth used to protect yourself from sun, sand and cold. Jews complaining about shemaghs are fucking faggots who don't even know their history. Also Arabs are semites.
