The night sky will be our generation's version of the deforestation of Old growth forests -- there will be no going back, and people will forget how beautiful it ever looked before. They will grow used to seeing the vandalized version of nature as reality, even claim they love it as beautiful, until too many generations have passed and no one remembers what it used to look, unspoiled.
