So I’m headed to the Yosemite area with a friend and we’re going on whim. What part of areas would you recommend? We’re both experienced outists and wanted to stay for 1 night

If you’re going in the spring...
Go up the Tioga Pass.
On the left side there is a lake about 1/2 mile off road. Clean alpine lake also an abandoned mine. There is also a lake on the right side of the highway about a quarter mile past the trailhead to the other lake.
