Osprey packs of the same price range are either lighter (though some of them insubstantially so) or offer more capacity for the same weight. Packs like the Exos and Levity are far lighter and cheaper for the same capacity. For the packs which are the same capacity and weight, they're cheaper and of comparable durability.
I've never used this specific pack, but I have used similar style backpacks in years yonder. How's the comfort level? I've had quite a few Osprey packs and they're extremely comfortable, does this pack compare well to those Osprey packs?
I understand paying a bit more for aesthetic value and, if this is your aesthetic, crack on and enjoy that. But in terms of comfort, price range or durability, I don't see how this holds up to the Osprey packs available. Why try to justify that? It's okay to have a marginally more expensive pack (Let's face it, £50 RRP difference isn't that big for a pack that'll last 5+ years that you're happier with) for its aesthetic value. I pay more for clothes which I find more aesthetically appealing when I'm innawoods, because I fucking hate the neon blue shit that is mostly on the market, as it makes me feel like an intruder in the forest.
If you like this pack, and you're okay with the fact that it's fairly heavy, and fairly expensive, for a pure "spec sheet" point of view, then who cares what the people of /out/ think? Embrace the reasons why you want it, and go ahead. If you come on here asking for opinions though, people are going to compare it to the other stuff on the market.. And this is expensive (overpriced, even, imo), heavy and looks uncomfortable. Whether for regular backpacking or for playing Rick Grimes, that's just the truth of it.
