>>2040288You've typed a whole lot of nonsense. The military, and law enforcement, like 9mm primarily because it's usable by conscript retards and fat fuck desk jockeys.
For SF, having your secondary gun be reliable and lightweight is what matters. Logistics plays very little role in what SF carries, because their logistics are for the most part internalized. That's why you, an individual, get to choose your own optic and your own hydration and your own rucksack and your own boots and earpro and eyepro and mags and fucking energy drinks. Having logistical overlap with other units (or other NATO/coalition powers) isn't a fucking factor, because they're not invading Normandy with two million men.
The reason why SF (and MARSOC, and SEALs, and SAD, and the FBI, and the SAS, and the FSB, and pretty much every other relevant security agency or combat unit) use a 9mm Glock is because it's a fucking sidearm, and you don't want to dedicate a lot of weight or space or thought to it. They're the easiest sidearm to use under stress. Nobody (and I truly mean nobody) gives a shit about the Thompson-LaGarde ballistic wounding tests conducted on a dozen cattle a hundred and fifteen years ago. The fact that you even obliquely reference those tests is risible.
