Here's what you do:

Get on the community map:
http://www.communitywalk.com/out

Make an account. Log your location. Then look to see if there are any sc/out/s near you. If not or if you can't nut up enough to talk to them, then look for places of interest.

Gather together your kit, buy whatever else you need from the onnabudget lists we post all the time, and go and visit those places, either with a fellow /out/law or on your own. /out/ has impeccable taste, some great locations are on there.

I'm in similar situation OP, I've grown in very wild area of the country, forest everywhere
moved to college, then moved to my gf town (horrible rural area when camping is considered both weird and mostly forbidden) there are no excuses if you won't go outdoors you will be unhappy for sure

just do it on your own. buy some very basic outdoor stuff (backpack, firesteel, knife, shelter) jump into a train/bus. walk, enjoy nature.

Yee that's pretty much it. I think I'm a pretty interesting guy underneath it but I have a really stoic personality (i guess a defense mechanism or some shit), awkward smile, and i have serious fucking trouble connecting with people.

Ever heard of Rainbow Family Ocala Forest?
Basically free camping every weekend. Full of friendly hippies.
Expect to see some tits and drug use.
I went there once for the weekend and I had tons of fun.
