>>2042090>>2042090>Hey /out/tists, is it feasible to travel across Europe?Absolutely. I got from Krakow to Southern France a few years ago by hitchhiking 90% of the way.
>bikeYour biggest concern will always be not getting your shit stolen. That and fixing it if it breaks down.
>I'm gonna stayDepends on your budget. You could camp as camping in Europe is pretty easy. Nevermind the laws, just be intelligent about it. If you can spare for a hostel, ring them up before booking anything to see if they have bicycle storage or somewhere safe nearby to store your bike.
>foodI mostly ate cured meats, cheese, canned tuna, olives, and for a while I had a jar of nutella. It is bit more expensive than cooking your meals, but you could probably pack in a small gas stove and always refill your gas at gas (lol) stations. Pasta + tomato sauce is cheap as peanuts no matter where you go. If you want more variety, count on Eastern Europe being cheaper than the rest on your way to Finland for eating out. Again, it is up to your budget. In Italy a margherita costs 4.5€ or so, coperto is 1€, takeaway costs nothing. If you go to a touristic place, you'll pay for the same thing the twice the normal amount sometimes. Just be smart about it.
>housingYou can volunteer for a week or so if you want to stay at one place through helpx, workaway, etc. Just make sure everything is clear before agreeing to come, that you know what to expect from them and they know what to expect from you. If you don't like it, you can always dump them and move on. It can be fun, and you can sometimes stay in places where you probably couldn't otherwise while learning interesting shit. Or maybe they'll ask you to do the weeds all the time, in that case just move on.
