Thats cool. I don't typically use trekking poles, but I wanted to be able to bring one with me if I was going to an area where there may not be a stick available for setting up the tarp. I also like GG and wanted to give them a bit of support with all that's been going on. I ran across the cnoc poles after I ordered and they look pretty interesting too. I like the snap locks better than the twist, but if I do bring a trekking pole it'll probably just be on the side of my pack if I bring it at all.

Inflation is a real threat anon. Even if we don't hit weimar or zimbabwe levels its still problematic when prices skyrocket. I think the current housing market is a good indicator of where things may head.

Gonna buy a handgun of some kind. Currently only have a 22 rifle from my grandparents, but I want something I can take with me camping.

So buy real estate, gold, guns with a probability of being banned and grandfathered in, or some kind of stocks or funds. I live in Canada and the average person has no clue how fucked our economy is. They don’t know how much money has been printed, the extent of our debt and the real cost of COVID measures. We are going to be facing the worst recession and austerity measures and inflation ever seen but people think it’s all good because the veneer is still being held up: how can it be bad when everything feels fine? They think it’ll just get back to normal and the economy will roar and everything will be fixed without any changes or sacrifices.

Might as well take whatever you can from the government and be opportunistic as hell. It’s going to get bad before it gets better any you’ll end up paying either way.
