Before the snow falls and you get fucked, get your ass up to Georgetown, take a drive up Guanella Pass, find a nice place to get out of the car (probably not the shit that's private property) and go for a fucking hike. Well, you're pretty much past the season for camping in Colorado. But why don't you look around for some hiking/camping groups like at Meetup.com to do some hiking and get used to being outside. And hiking in Boulder Open Space by yourself isn't a bad idea as long as you stay on the main trails. Some people might suggest the courses at the Colorado Mountain Club but I've found they act like a bunch of self-important dicks.
