Camping gear thread?

Here's mine, all laid out on my waterproof sleeping bag.

It consists of:
One summer sleeping bag (soon to be changed to a three-season bag)
One Goretex sleeping bag cover (Milsurp)
One Basha sheet (milsurp)
16 lengths of line, everything from 12mm down to 2mm
Three Carabiners
One hatchet (Budget, recently sharpened)
One multitool
Two torches, one headtorch and one handtorch
One pack of rolling papers, for use as tinder in emergencies
One butane lighter
And a Northern Ireland rucksack (30 litres) to contain it all

What do you think guys?

What you need:

You need a fixed blade.
And a water container.
And a pan to cook with.

What would be nice:

Lighter seems like it's a cheap one. Replace it with at least 2 bic lighters.
Add 2 ferro rods.
Torches aren't really necessary. Or if you insist you need them, then you'll also need spare batteries.
Rolling papers aren't necessary either.
Adding a tin for keeping tinder and stuff in would be nice too.
And maybe a dry sack for keeping a change of clothes.

Other than that, I could probably be quite comfortable with that gear.

A water container is a very good point! I'll be sure to pick one up soon
And i do have a pan. Thanks for reminding me to add it; i've been meaning to for a while.

Seeing as how I smoke, i normally have three or four lighters on me anyway, but the addition of a ferro-rod definitely won't hurt. Any spare clothes i take i wrap inside my sleeping bag cover, then sleep with them in there if the weather's wet.

A tin is a good idea as well, i'll pick one up soon.

A mora knife will be sufficient. I recommend a mora companion in either stainless or carbon steel (whichever you prefer). Shouldn't cost you more than 12 pounds.

Good for containing your tinder, as well as making char cloth. If that's something you're interested in.

Oh yeah, you might want to add an eating utensil of some sort too. I like a metal spork myself.

Why not just get one of those self-inflating foam mats instead of the thermarest(5)?
If you actually compress the foam mat before you seal it, its negligibly bigger, and is multiple times more comfortable and better at holding heat.

Hell, the thermarest isnt much better than gathering some brush and sleeping over that.

OP remember the compass, mess kit (at least a bowl and cup) bring a tarp if you plan on sleeping on the ground. I dont have my stuff handy otherwise i could give you a more detailed list but remember to bring a watertight bag or two and put some twine, a firestarter, and a whistle in there. Just get some bic lighters

I believe this is the second time I have posted this picture, and yes, I think the last time was a month or two ago. The anon got super butthurt because most of the stuff is in good condition and hadn't been used much, due to the fact that I had just moved and am currently searching for a job, and therefore can't go dick around in the woods when I might be contacted for an interview at any time.
