Anyone know what kind of tick this is? I fear it might be a Hyalomma tick. That'd be bad news for me, cause I have a habit of catching tick-borne diseases: I have already contracted (and overcome) lyme, as well as tick-borne encephalitis. The Hyalomma supoosedly is a carrier for hemmoragic crimea-congo-fever, which has a shockingly high fatality rate. Normally they get Importe by birds during summer, but this years winter was rather warm, so maybe a couple managed to survive.
