Well whatever you do, don't throw the petroleum jelly instafix on that fucker if you got plastic socks. I am addicted to medical tape, moleskin's a bit meh though. I'd pack some aloe on that fucker at home, but it doesn't really grow wild lotsa places. Something will work, surely.

Thin synthetic "dress" socks are very similar in nature to sock liners. Breathe fairly well, don't friction up real hard.
