Food. Lots and lots of food. If you're not retarded you can probably find water, make a fire, and make a shelter, but you will not be able to forage enough food to do anything other than starve slower than eating nothing. Bring high calorie density food liked dried meat and beans, and some vitamins to ward off scurvy. Why are you going to live in the woods for a few months?

Dig yourself a hobbit hole to die in or sleep under tarps you've thrown brush over idc. When you set up your tent/ tarp ground dig a little trench around the edge so water falls off your shelter into that instead of pooling under you to keep the ground dry.

This is actually how I got into backpacking. I would recommend getting stuff and using it. If you need to truly survive with this stuff you need to know what works and what doesn't. Really a bug-out bag is just a backpacking bag with some other shit in it. In my opinion, you should have the following:
-Saw, lighter than an axe making it better for when you need to be on the move
-Shelter, Do u here, I like bivies and a poncho but try and find what u like
-sleeping bag, get what is best for ur climate
-sleeping pad, once you go out and actually try and spend 1 or 2 nights without one u will wish u had one
-meds
-extra clothing
-water filter
-fire making kit
-navigation stuff
-a good knife
Really the best advice I can give is to go as lightweight as possible while being comfortable. Just look up what people use for long backpacking trips and go from there. Then learn skills to actually survive.

If you had too****
Well b4 that you could have sc/out/ed the land mountains and forest or desert to see where a suitable place to set up.
If you were smart you may have a mental gridmap memorized to get to a place.
If you did that, maybe you were smart enough to have secretly dug a cache of dry rice, beans, dry corn, dried meats and canned goods. And potable water, in glass containers if possible.
After that it's ammo n guns, tools(like axe, shovels, pickaxe, saw, files, hammers, wire cutters, bolt cutter etc) shelter material suited to the local environment and yearly climate.
In the cache things like soap, tobacco, alcohol, candles, string, rope, wire, if you plan on staying that long.
Security/safety >Water>food>shelter> eveything else

Something to eat or to hunt your food with. If you're not used to hunting and skinning animals/don't have a decent rifle, just bring some canned food. However, if you're not hunting for x or y reason you'll eventually have to come back to civilization to gather food.

You should pack skills. No amount of gear will save you, but faith in God, a decent knife, and the ability to generate food will.

Conveniences, in order:
Cloth shelter, sleep system. Minimum two tarps.
Full length coat, cloak, poncho.
Bow (60-150#), arrows, quiver, wax. Alternately rifle, ammunition, cleaning kit. No compounds, no semiautomatic.
Vessel to hold water, vessel to boil water.
Machete, saw, axe.
Pack.
Premade food. Multivitamins are bullshit. One week's worth of calorie dense rations.
Change of clothes. Five sets underwear, eight socks, two undershirts, one shirt/pants, one spare sweater.
Medkit.
Chordage.
Map and compass.
Spoon.
Transport.
