Where do you guys like to hang /out/? What is it like in your area? What do you like about it/dislike? What are the dangers of your area and the advantages?
I am from northern Germany. Have lived here all my live. I grew up on our family farm. I had my first pocket knife when I was 10 or so and since my family owns 2 forests as part of our land I spent a lot of time there and still do. They both are pretty small, the bigger forest is 200x200 meters but pretty dense. And since it's all mine and I can do what I want I love it. I am currently building a base camp.
It is pretty small and there is no running water closeby that I could use. Only some trenches. But it is all mine and close to my house so I don't mind bringing water there.
In terms of danger Germany is probably "easy mode". The distance to my house is a bit over 1km. I have cell reception and the most dangerous animal that I could encounter would be a boar. But I like it that way I wouldn't want to encounter a bear or something like that.
