Tough well ventilated camping gear

No.2070869 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm in Texas so heat is the main issue, also needs to resist high wind and rain well because I'll take it out to the beach from time to time.

Best tent?

Best pad or air mattress?

My wife and I have a columbia 6 person tent and a cheap intex queen air mattress. Also a couple of foam/air cabela's mattress.

This shit works ok but the zippers on the tent suck shit and I've let it get wet and sit a few times over the years.

We have a 1 year old so hammock camping is now out of the question. Looking to upgrade my standard gear.

Looking at the Kelty

Maybe the NTK

I like easy to setup alone big ass tents that are versatile. The cool thing about my current columbia is it has these side vent things that vent even when the rainfly is on. Just the zippers suck shit on it.

For pads or air mattress I have no fucking clue, I'm not totally over the cabela's pads but they just don't totally support my big ass.
