Hey /out/bros
/lit/ were pretty useless on this, so I come to you for advice.
I’m wondering if any of you could recommend me some more eco-philosophy, (or ‘ecosophy’, as Naess puts it) books that are more political in their nature. Something similar to Bookchin, whom I like, but I’m sure there’s better ecological thinkers out there. Have I got a good foundation?

I've always been disappointed by purely eco-philosophical writing because in showing a prioritisation of rational processes and deductions over simple empiricism for its own sake, it sort of goes against the whole spirit of the outdoors and nature. My favourites I've found is stuff like Muir or Shepherd where perception and observation trumps judgement, and philosophical conclusions are arrived at seldom, but entirely naturally.

Doesn't help your question much but if you open your mind more to experience-writing you may reach a more satisfying place than you could find in pure philosophy.
