Bros, I want to find a method for camping shelter that works for my needs. Here's my situation:

>Motorbike camping
>I'm a cheap fuck
>I don't want to be 100% out of the elements but I at least want some protection from bugs and rain
>A lot of my camping is in places where there are very few trees so can't use a hammock
>I want it to pack small but it doesn't necessarily have to be ultralight
>This will be used for spring/summer camping in the western states
>This will also be used with a foam pad and sleeping bag

So basically I want a budget set up for minimalist camping which is not a hammock. Does anyone have any suggestions? I currently use a two man tent but the pack-size is big and it takes a while to set up. It's fine for winter but for summer I want to go very minimal and experience a different way of camping.
