There are some downsides about DCF beyond abrasion and cost that don't get mentioned often enough imo.
Over time it deforms and creeps which can really start to mess with your pitch. So even if you really baby your DCF gear it will, after a while warp out. I've seen some flat tarps that are now fucked along the ridge line.
