Sold my Limmers as my rationale was that I'd only use them if the world ended, and use m77 or wellies for shit work.
Socks, sometimes layered, and wool inserts have become my comfort system though and you may prefer eva/polyurethane.
When I did use those chunkier boots though, I was a big fan of the Redback Everest made in Australia. Mongrel was also good.
Just know that polyurethane/eva foam breaks down with disuse in a process called hydrolysis. It starts to flake apart whether it is headphone earpads or shoe midsole.
So many people buy winter boots with it and they only last one winter for that reason.
For me, I find ways to use the boot out of season like mowing the lawn. I also limit how many foam shoes I have. Just keep the m77s (polyurethane sole) and either Bekina/Croc welly boots (both eva/polyurethane, since rubber boots now are rare, expensive, and heavy).
If you reverse lookout soles on the Vibram Catalog, sbr is their solid rubber compound. Most foam shoes use a different foam, like polyurethane midsole with a thermoplastic polyurethane outsole. Solid rubber is heavy and harder to find with more minimalist boots since that often means it loses its midsole mega cushion. You'd almost have to get the African boots like Courteney or that rhodesian boot Kommando store stocks once in a blue moon. You can also maybe try it with moccasins like Russell's (qc is all over the place) or Footskins. The latter can attach a vibram outsole.
