>>2080347>if I had to survive off of foraging I would starve within a week. Even native Indians farmed stuff like corn and beans, so it seems like the hunter-gatherer lifestyle is only possible in tropical places where there's always food year round. Most primitive peoples ate seasonally. Diet would consist almost entirely of greens in the spring and summer, fruit in autumn and meat during the winter. They also ate a lot more of the things that modern people would consider inedible like bugs, worms, small rodents. You certainly couldn't be picky, but it most definitely can be done if you have the skills and knowledge to recognize and acquire every food source available to you.
>>2080352>4chan spergs rely a lot of human interaction in the form of communication via typing.I may be an outlier, but I've done three months with no social interaction alone in the woods. Even if you're right that that wouldn't be the norm, I would suggest that we at least have a higher tolerance than most other people for loneliness.
>>2080355>woods, yes>desert, probably notI don't know. The deserts of southern california have such an abundance of wild rabbit and miner's lettuce that if you managed to find a good water source (that would attract other game), you'd almost be hard-pressed to starve. washington on the other hand seems much more lush, but I doubt I'd last long if I didn't rely on fishing.
I sometimes wonder if anyone would be interested, if I offered survival classes, but then I remember that this is 4chan and I'd probably never want to meet any of you in real life.
