Fuck fibre, fuck whole grains and other very complex carbs, fuck water, they're all a waste of space. If you body needs to digest the food, then it's going to leave waste. Waste that you might as well not carry. If the food is full of water, you're carrying that extra weight.
So MRE's are packed full of high-calorie-per-weight deyhdrated shit. Chocolate, Noodles, energy drink powder, canned meat, etc. You're eating less but you're also producing less waste to shit out. If you look at the food you eat normally, vegetables are mostly water, whole grain meals are mostly indigestible fibre, etc. So while you may eat "more", you're shitting out more and actually consuming about the same amount of stuff.
This is why MRE's make people have horrible digestion problems. The complete lack of fibre results in nutritious, rock hard poo. If you're shitting regularly and normally on MRE's, you're eating too much, fatty.
