I'm going to be living in a tent on land I bought so I need a good cot. I had one of the military style ones like pic related but it stretched on the two halves to the point of unusability. I don't have an image but hopefully you guys know what I mean. Are there better cot designs that won't stretch like these

no, normal size. It seems the way these are designed, they will inevitably stretch sooner or later. There's a rigid piece across the middle that can't stretch like the rest of the cot.

dude if you stretched one of those military ones out you're easily 300+ pounds. that or you're not assembling it correctly. out of all my time in the army, i never once encountered one of those that was blown out. broken? yes. but still completely taut. maybe take that cot money and buy some fucking vegetables, you obese waste of life.

I'm literally not fat at all, 5'11 175. normal weight. Just after like 3 months straight of sleeping on the thing, with no pad on top, the fabric itself literally stretched.

Why don’t you just put a thick sleeping pad on top? Even if the fabric bottoms out you shouldn’t feel the bars I don’t think. Don’t you need a pad anyways for insulation?
