>>2089418It’s probably pretty fun. I ended up just getting a 5’6” rod and small spinning reel, but I seriously thought about one of those telescoping rods. It fits fine on the side of my pack as long as I’m somewhat careful ducking under blowdown.
If you’re going backpacking/camping, and fishing on the side, I think you’d be happy. If you’re going out to specifically go fishing, then I bet you’d want a “real” rod.
