For the most part no, but it really depends on the person. I think it's more people from my generation don't understand how to learn from a library. We grew up with the internet being our primary research source all throughout school so it's going to happen. I know how to learn from somebody teaching me or watching somebody do it but I'd still say I use the internet (not specifically youtube) for 80% of what I learn.
But that's not necessarily a bad thing, forums make it way easier to sift through bullshit from learning via discussion and gives you much easier access to people with very specialised interests and knowledge. Youtube is great for having open while you are say taking something apart since you can literally see somebody doing it in front of you.
Also OP wasn't asking for a video, so not really sure how what you are saying is relevant.
