I posted this on every applicable board, I am seeking answers.
anyone know anything about what kind of thing makes a sound like this?
>lying in bed listening to the forgs in the pond like i do every night and imagining they're helpers
>hear quiet wooping in the distance, think i'm just mishearing coyotes in the woods
>it gets louder and closer, definitive wooping
>i'm not scared at this point because i still think its just weird coyotes
>irregular constant wooping gets louder, sounds like it's fairly near the house, which is a bit strange because animals usually avoid coming up this far
>its upsetting my dog by this point
>suddenly there's a LOUD scraping or sustained growling noise that sounds like it's coming from right outside the window
>makes my blood run ice cold
>wooping starts fading again slowly
>i am questioning if i really heard the loud noise or not
>it happens again, even though the wooping is far away the loud scraping/growling sounds like its right in my house, right in my fucking ear
>the dog is very upset, confirming it's real
I go to the back door and turn on the light to see if I can see anything
>the wooping silences all of a sudden
>i havent heard anything since I turned the light on and off. the idea that some fuckign animal that makes a sound like that being close enough to my house that it can see when I turn the lights on is making me profoundly nervous.
i live in canada in the great lakes area, any anons here ever experience something similar?
