There's a million places to hike here man. Also check out the national parks if you want a veiw. If you're up north you can catch the south most tail of the appalachian. Just stay away from atlanta ffs.

I want to check out the northern part of the state! It seems so nice, and the thought of being near the Appalachians is so wild to me. I'm from California so I'm seeking some similar national parks, even though I realize it's bound to be different. I'm going to be in Athens but I'll definitely make the trip up north at some point.

Athens? Check out sandy creek park. There's an 8 mile trail around the lake. Just bring a bit of cash to get in and it's yours my friend. Some college niggers there but the wildlife's worth it. There's also fishing, canoeing, and limited swimming if ya get bored of walking.

North Georgia has some nice mountain trails and comfy towns. My wife and I like Dahlonega especially, it's good wine country. My grandparents had a farm in south Georgia, spent a lot of summers picking around creek beds for animal tracks in that red clay.
