I remember reading a survival book I got at the Fort Point gift shop when I younger and it had this illustration in it. The book had some similar illustrations that I liked and I would like to find it again.

close, but I remember it more in this particular style.
This illustration was also in the book.

Well seems many of the drawing of your book either came out of this one or this one took from your book. Either way this isn't a bad book at all if you're just looking for a survival book with pretty much the same information. I know you're probably looking for it for nostalgic purposes though.

Being as it specifies Poncho and Poncho liner. I expect it to be a military manual since both of those are issued equipment.
