/out/doors men; I have a seemingly stupid, but important question, what is the proper way to orient logs in a fire? I've typically just kind of piled a few logs on top of one another and move them around so each has airflow underneath.

I was never in the scouts, and haven't been camping since I was a kid, and I didn't build the fires then anyway.
