I hear people complaining all the time about needing to drive 2, 4, 6 hours to get to real wilderness for solo hiking/camping. I live in Maple Ridge BC and I'm sure there are good places to hike out from within a 30min drive but I don't know any of them.
Anybody know any good websites for finding maps and info on solo hikes and wilderness camping? Or just have any good Fraser Valley recommendations. I want to get the fuck away from people ideally somewhere I can scope out with a hike before committing to a 1/2 night trip.
