Anyway. Most basics are related to the indoors. Do you have a general set of tools? Basic crafting supplies (nails and screws, cord, glue, etc.)? Medical supplies? A stocked pantry?
For the outdoors: Durable and warm clothing in case you need to bug out? Doesn't even need to be a civil war end of the world kind of thing, maybe it's just a forest fire or some other kind of natural catastrophe. Sleeping bag? Good for the indoors too, in case your heating fails. Many such cases in texas this winter. A bag for all necessary things and some supplies - it best be already packed. Needless to say, all of this for your family members as well.
Camping gear, i.e. stuff to bug out into the wilderness and not a emergency shelter - maybe. Generally speaking this will only happen in case of civil war etc. so that's a low priority point. Depending on where you live of course... You will need a tent, and best a tarp too for redundancy.
