What's the best cache you've found?
A week ago I started lurking some local Geocaching forums and the other day I sniffed out this competition going on with caches all over the local forests. It was announced online, so I was able to get the coordinates without having to physically meet someone or sign anything in order to compete. I really surprised myself with how great at orienteering I was. Knowing the woods like the back of my hand, I managed to pull my car up only a couple of kilometers from the main cache. Going by foot I probably covered more ground in two hours than the other competitors did during the entire day, and eventually found the biggest cache way before anyone else did (then again I pretty much grew up in the woods and did my conscription as a ranger, so my stamina and ability to cover ground gave me the upper-hand right from the start). Brought the entire box home since I didn't have any backpack with me, and so I didn't inspect the items until I was in my own backyard. It turned out to contain some really sweet items though: two large Rubik's cube-style wooden puzzle, three keyring flashlights of great quality, a decorative glass jar with some fancy tea, a Swiss knife, and finally some custom badges to stitch on. The value of these items combined is probably 1/3 of what my cheap GPS costs (the box alone is near Tupperware quality).
I must admit this was pretty fun. I haven't had any use of my orienteering skills since forever.
So, anyone know any good websites where caches are posted?
