I need one for hiking, I was thinking compression for sprained ankles, banages, triangle bandages, splints, plasters, poop meds, painkillers, and plasters.

Always good to cobble together your own. Two things I rarely see but are worth adding; 1) powdered gatorade/electrolyte mix. Sometimes folks need it when they get so dehydrated that they are nauseous and plain water isn’t doing any good. 2) Quick clot or something similar + tourniquet. That way you can bring the same kit with you if you ever end up doing some chainsaw work or anything more dangerous than hiking.

Never buy a pre-made kit. Buy an empty medical pouch (or just use a dry bag) and fill it with stuff you know how to use. Some things I recommend are 2 pairs of sterile gloves, iodine or everclear for sterilizing quickly, gauze rolls, gause pads in multiple sizes, a small tube of Vaseline (can be used on gauze to make a chest seal as well as normal uses) some antibiotic ointment, a 3" ace wrap,, a good pair of shears, a flashlight, and an epi pen. If you bring guns innawoods you should also throw in a cat tourniquet or any other style you are more familiar with. I have a little boo boo kit on the outside of my bag, as well as a bigger kit in my wet bag.

Get a multipack of 2g tubes of superglue. Cyanoacrylate glue was literally invented as a rapid wound closure.

Sauce: I'm an ER nurse and use it all the time for lacerations.

The solvents in liquid skin will sterilize the shit out of your cut.

Yes, it's the go-to for closing head lacerations unless they're on the face (gotta have maxfax or plastics sew those up). The composition of medical superglue isn't much different to bog standard superglue. It's a little more flexible when it sets is all.

i have bought large one from decathlon and i have puted some more things in it. My younger brother is doctor, curently in team 1 emergancy unit, so he gave me some stuff to put it in, or if i need stomething to refil he can give me for free.
Mostly i dont use anyithing from med kit, but it is nice to have it when you are with someone who, is afraid of out, so you lower their anexity, and if they have small boo boo you can give them hanseplast and litle alcohol, so they feel safe.

If you're worried about major ouchies: TQ, compression type bandage. I'd say quicclot but i doubt you'll be wound-packing like that.

You are building for adventure not truama, off the top of my head, i would take

>Anti itch cream
>Good old band aids
>Compression gauze
>Hemostatic Gauz
>Some sort of blood cloting agent on top of the hemo static
>Gloves, obviously
>Roll of regular gauze
>cat 5 tourniquet odds of needing it low, but always good to have
>As mentioned super glue/liquid skin
You dont need to carry splints or anything, depending on where you are going /out/ you should be able to make one in the field.
One of the most important things, honestly is clean water, thats really important for wounds, to be able to flush it out, and get it sanitized
