I live on a defunct golf course. The greens are all massively overgrown now and there are old trails and bridges that have been turned into neighborhood "nature trails". The nature trails are pretty well trafficked however, if you go across one of the greens there is an entire loop/section of abandoned paved trails that no one ever goes on.
I'm thinking about making a secret little garden back there with some raised beds. Whoever owns the land has been totally absent for years. What do you guys think? Guerilla gardening sounds like a super gay word, but I guess that's sort of what it is. Anyone done something like this?
