I’m thinking of growing shitloads of citronella in pots on my patio. Would this actually keep the mosquitoes down ? Anybody had any experience with this?

Mosquitos only travel about 500' from their source/home. Get yourself and other a mosquito zapper. They are a lot of fun but more important it is killing the population around you. If you kill the mosquito it will not have blood to take back to their young. It only takes about 5 min of killing before the population dwindles and they don't bother you the rest of the evening. Repellent just keeps them away but does not remove them from the population. Have fun.

I live in a mosquito hellhole and malaria is everywhere. Wear long sleeves and pants. Peaceful sleep on face and hands works to keep them away.

Not concerned about mud getting everywhere. Not wearing gloves either. A thin long sleeve is fine for sun but you'd need something thick to block a mosquito.

Fishing shirts seems to be really popular lately. I can respect the cunts for making them long sleeves and I absolutely love how fucking ugly they are. So bad that theyre good type shit, theyre usually made from a really breathable material too, I dont fish but I picked one up just to do my gardening.

One year I had my entire patio filled with citronella plants (gets kind of pricey desu) and still had mosquitoes as bad as before.
