How much of your gear is mil surp?
Do you prefer surplus over new manufacture?

I would say half my gear is surplus but mostly bags and tools I avoid military clothing and shelters but most everything else is great, now if I were to hike long distances I might want the lighter gear but I never travel more than a mile from my vehicle so lugging heavier gear isn't an issue.

So what about the rest of /out/?
Do you love it, hate it or prefer both?
