I used what’s called a drop foot splint/sling. They’re pretty cheap (30$) and you sleep with it on. Keeps the foot from plantar flexing while you sleep and stretches out the plantar tendon. That and Tylenol should help.

It got really bad for me when I was walking around the hard floors in my house barefoot most of the day and it went away over the course of about a month simply by using arch supports and wearing them most if the time.
Also, I was stretching my leg and foot muscles way too much (like 20-30 times a day) which I think made it alot worse.

get one of these, dont cheap out and get chinese those will break down fast, get an expensive one that will last. I use mine on my sore feet all the time and after I work out. Got it 3 years ago, still works and worth every penny.

On /diy/ trick is to take a toy foam football, or other foam ball, cut a chunk into halfmoon, so that it fits under your arch. While you place shoes on, put the half moon chunk under your arch, and tie shoe as regular. It will be tight at first, but as you wear it, it will form fit to your arch,providing support to the arch easing strain on tendon. Replace when it no longer supports arch (about 1 year).

And run that way.
Fixed my arches naturally, fixed my bad knees and back from getting fat too (to be fair I'm sure losing the weight did the most help but still). Your feet widen and your toes spread out the way they are suppose to instead of unhealthily being smooshed in on themselves constantly.

I had pain from PF 24 hours a day. I am on my feet most of the day at work. I simply stopped wearing dress shoes. It took five months for it to finally go away but it ultimately did. Woke up New Year's Day morning camped out at Wire Pass trailhead near the Utah-Arizona border and the pain was finally gone forever.

hello, to prevent it you should not stop stretching if you're a regular at the gym.
If you got it then you should do extra stretching and use the strassburg sock, bought or diy.
The sock helps.
Personally I use the sock and stretch sometimes...but mostly I just use a shoe with special dampening that makes the issue go away.

Plantar fasciitis isn't caused primarily BY inflammation, it's literally tension down your calf muscle over working the fascia of your heel and you can fix it permanently with simple stretch routines. Every thing else is a gimmick or scam that actually persists the damage.
The key problem is people not being able to tough through the beginning pains of stretching it out correctly, or not sticking to simple routine.

Always carry extra socks, you can keep moving if you got a fucked up arm, but if you got a fucked up foot you are dead in the water so to say.

Good good comfy boots, make sure you break them in, and get good comfy socks, and pack and extra pair,in fact, pack 2 extra pair.l

Correct stretching and regular exercise with your legs and feet, preferably on a barefoot plain, is the only long term solution that actually works to solve every problem that causes continual foot and lower leg pain.
