So if you want breakdown to occur a bit quicker you just introduce some water to the system instead of waiting for rainfall or hoping some wet ground starts the process...but not so much you've got a fucking floater, just enough water to wet whatever toilet paper you've used is fine. Another major component is air, but in an /out/ situation your poop will be incorporated pretty quickly into the microbiology, people want you to pack out your poop mainly because everyone is eating 99 cent cheeseburgers and that processed stuff wasn't in your shit years ago, and nature certainly didn't evolve as fast as we have to be able to handle our quite literal toxic waste.
