>>2113248Yeah I was in 2013-2018, some of the most fun times in my life, I remember there was this one based kid a few years older than me I think his name was Chase. He taught us how to make a few different kinds of IEDs at summer camp.
All the based dudes seemed to be a little older than me and when they all aged out or quit around 2016-2017ish the troop turned into 50% anime nerdy faggots and 50% delinquent teenagers, both groups didn’t want to be there and were only there because their parents forced them too, turned into a really toxic atmosphere so I quit at star scout.
I remember on one of my last camp outs I was chilling in the tent playing cards with some of my patrol mates one kid hotboxed the tent with his Juul and it was really noxious stuff and I got a headache, they all mostly went to sleep but I couldn’t sleep and neither could this other kid. He told me he thought I was a good person and he considered me a friend (I tried to be outgoing and nice to everyone especially as a older scout) he told me he was transgender and wished he was born a female and he broke down crying about his parents and his home life and gender dysphoria and kids at school bullying him or whatever. I have certain reservations about trans people but the kid was obviously having a mental breakdown and he seemed think highly of me and trust me so it wasn’t in my heart to be a dick to him so I tried to comfort him a little but it was honestly the last straw for me, kids like that shouldn’t be in scouts and I wasn’t enjoying being in a troop with people like that so I had to quit.
Still learned a lot and got neat experiences so it was overall worth it.
