Here's a scenario for the sake of discussion.
You are put into the wilderness (for the sake of simplicity let's say you are in an area very similar to new hampshire's white mountains), and you are given only a pocket knife with the clothes on your back and the shoes on your feet ( let's assume you're wearing hiking boots, jeans, and a t-shirt and flannel). You must survive for one week, and the only tool you have is a folding pocket knife (let's assume it's a buck folding knife, whichever is the most common). Could you survive? If yes, what would you do? Day by day breakdown, fire making routine, water collection, food preparation and acquisition, etc. Let's also assume this is happening in mid summer Temperature.
