What are some /out/ approved books?

I’m looking for good stuff to take with me while I’m camping. I just ordered pic related. That and some book with John Muir stories.

Anything that expands upon your wilderness knowledge. While I dont have any books on hand at the moment, I can list some categories you all would enjoy.
>any wildlife info book with full color images.
>any geological book or earth science.
>any identification manuals(eg. Mammals, reptiles, rocks, birds, plants, mushrooms, among many other things with full color images).
>any sort of bushcraft type manual.
>any rope/twine/string and knotting books.
>any homesteading/backyard crafting books
>any primitive history books of any country you prefer.
>any navigation/gps/geological traversing type manuals.

Theres many more, but this just covers a blanket of terms and categories for you if you dont have any one specific book in mind. These are just educational only. But theres no doubt many different /out/ fiction books out there. I just havent read any, as they arent that particularly interesting to me. I just read normal fiction when out. I usually stick to the educational stuff though, as I love learning about the Earth's birds, animals, minerals, weather patterns, etc.

I read Michael Punkte Book: Last Stand about the Buffalo which was pretty nice. North of the Sun from Fred Hatfield also a good read. The Biography about Steven Rinella and Lily Raff McCaulou was also good if you interested in hunting as newbie. Both say "just do it".

For germans reader I can recommend Hans-Otto Meissner Books about the Northwest Territories in Canada (Wildes rauhes Land), sadly they isn't a English Version. Pretty solid and with a lot of historical background.

I'm looking for more good Trapper/Hunting, Fishing, Canoe exploration etc Books about North America Wilderness, especially Canada and Alaska. Anoyne?

This negro knows what's good. OP literally can't go wrong with ANY recent, used, Environmental Science related text books at Freshman and Sophomore level. You have to pack in that mammoth of a book, but whatever, that's the price of admission.

I highly recommend starting with:
Meteorology Today by C. Ahrens/Robert Henson
ISBN: 9781337616669

I am an MSc. Environmental Science faggot, so if you're interested, I recommend picking a decent four-year university of your choice and browsing the text book requirements for classes regarding Earth Science. Mid-30% probability you can find a given pdf version and D/L to your phone/phablet if desired.
