>>2116995*Lentils. Easier to cook than beans. More versatile. You can make shit you can make with pintos with lentils too like refried beans. Makes a water that has a special name.
*You will die of sodium, so get summer sausage. I usually also get hot dogs. Nathans is best, followed by hebrew national.
*Deens, tuna, or other canned seafood.
*I usually grab a thing of Busch beans or so as they taste the best for baked beans. It's a little sweet, but a good alternative to other flavors.
*Eggs are always useful. Omlettes, filler protein, to soups.
Find a starch, if not lentils. Beans, rice, or something you can add for fluff when you need carbs and farts. Some vegetables like corn or potatoes could work here too.
*Always find something to give a kick of vitamin c, whether a drink powder, emergen-c, fruit, vegetables, or you may find something out in the wild there.
*I usually like something snacky, that isn't fluff like chips. I usually will use popcorn, flavored peanuts, trail mix, etc. You can make your own honestly. I am currently using these peanut shop peanuts from sportsmans warehouse that are delicious.
*Obviously, any meat is gonna be great if you don't hunt or fish.
*I also have been testing bouillon cubes. There is a better than bouillon that is decent on store shelves. My favorite is one called not chick'n bouillon. Those are my 2 favorite. You'd be surprised at how easy you can alchemize a bs soup recipe with some of the stuff above, and help rid yourself of the copious sodium.
*Always bring a favorite spice. I'm a millenifag, so sriracha.
