once at a local waterfall/watering hole i used to frequent, we had a rope strung across so you could pass through the strong current to get to the other side where you could jump from. we swam drunk/stoned all the time without an incident until once my buddy lost his grip and got taken for a ride. he hit a few rocks and eventually got ahold of one, he survived with a few bruises.
