It's not birdsong, they are fighting with eachother. Birds are smart, and alot of song birds' brains are focused on the ability to make complex sounds. So when they are singing in the morning, it's not peaceful; they are showing they can recreate the other's song and then add onto it. Whoever is best able is the winner

I own one of these with a shitty 4x Scope.
Fun little thing, I keep it in a short barrel + stock configuration for ease of carry (the laws in my country require a carry license for a gun of these dimensions and power, so I keep it compact not to attract attention).
Haven't hunted with it yet, but it's fun to plink and pretty accurate.

I'm actually in the market for an optic for the Vigilante. I have seen some cheapo ones at walmart and amazon, and /k/ hgg recommended me a Bushnell TRS-25 as the lowest end optic worth spending money on.

I have an S200 I've posted before that I mostly just shoot targets with, I'd take it hunting if I could find a permission locally.

Got a .22 Hatsan 95 recently and really wish I could get better open sights for it since I like them more than a scope for plinking. They're ok but plastic so they have a bit a play.
I'm already eyeing a nicer gun, maybe a Diana, but most places seem to be out of stock.

I'm guessing you're American but I'm in the UK and the one in pic is a sub 12ftlb gun. That is to say head/heart shots only for live game.
To that end I'd never consider using a gun I don't have absolute confidence in for hunting in the UK.

If you're up at 20-30ftlbs then ofc rabbits, pigeon etc aren't going to require quite as precise a rifle. So I can understand why you'd use one then.

If you want something higher spec just get a PCP. You can get some nice springers but they cost near PCP prices anyway

Crows are known to attack newborn livestock, disturb farmers fields and just in general be a pest.

I can't tell if you're larping or baiting but there are plenty of reasons to shoot them in both Europe and America and these are easily found with basic research.
