Hunting is a lot of expensive red tape, sitting for hours smacking skeeters, a moment of joy watching the quarry go down followed by more hours dealing with a huge smelly beast covered in ticks spilling blood all over your truck then gutting it, skinning it and butchering it in a mad rush to keep yourself from losing it to maggots and the bugs rotting it out from the inside.
It's fucking awesome if you can fucking afford it.
