10 miles north along the river from my town is a native American historical site. It was a village with a moat around it made in the 1450's. If I kayak up there and don't see any signs telling me to stay out, is it okay for me to explore it? I doubt people would see me when I am there, but I don't want to go places I shouldn't.

Judging on my experience it will take almost the entire day to get there so I will have to camp or get a ride back.
