>>2135848the garrett ace 250 is far superior to anything in the bounty hunter line. I probably recommended it to you though. Or someone that reads what I post.
I metal detect with newbs pretty often. People see what I find and want to get into it. I used to recommend bounty hunters because they're cheap and work ok. But a buddy of mine got a garrett ace 250 for christmas and we took it out. I was incredibly pleased with how simple and effective it was. I used it for a couple hours and found lots of good stuff. He used it for about six hours and found a coin that paid for the thing on the first day. An $850 coin found with a $200 detector by a complete newb within the first day. Part of that's just luck, but mostly it's a really great detector for a learner or a pro. I started recommending it and my brother bought one. We took it to a local park and he promptly found a handful of old coins including some silver on his first day. This is amazing, most detectors take days or even years for someone new to learn well enough to do that. It's a good detector. A great detector for the price. I don't have one because I love the radio shack detector I use, but if I ever have to replace it you can bet your ass I'll buy a garrett ace 250 or better.
>>2135852>an old harmonica comb on the left eh?Yeah, I find a couple of those every time I detect. They were really popular in the old west mining towns. Good eye!
